Local Businesses Honoured at 12th Annual Awards Gala

Kensington, PE – November 17, 2017 – Seven local businesses were honoured as award recipients at the Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce’s 12th Annual Awards Gala on November 14th. There were six award categories, with one award resulting in a tie. The 2017 award recipients are:


Malpeque Bay Credit Union Best New Business Award

Broadway 45 (accepted by Coreen Pickering and Graeme Young)

Key Murray Law Small Business of Excellence

Kensington Food Basket (accepted by David Boucher)

Innovation PEI Business of Excellence Award

Twin Shores Camping Area (presented by Steve Reaman, accepted by Darren Cousins)

Best Website

Chez Shea (presented by Rosalie Profitt, accepted by Jessica Caseley on behalf of Chez Shea)

PE Aqua Farms Blair Ramsay Employee of the Year Award

Patti Taylor – Murphy’s Pharmacy (presented by Jerry Bidgood)

CBDC Community Impact Award

Buffie Boily Photographic Arts & Spring Valley Building Centre (presented by Ron Holley, accepted by Buffie Boily & Bethany MacDonald)


“We are so proud of the incredible businesses in the Kensington Area and the hard work they do. Congratulations on your success!” said Chamber President Rosalie Profitt. “To all of the nominees, you are truly all winners and deserve to be recognized”.
